9 Three-Year-Old Birthday Party Ideas for Girls
Each year it almost gets harder to find the perfect birthday party theme—and the three-year-old birthday party is no exception! I’m currently planning for my three-year-old’s fourth birthday party (and my one-year-old’s second birthday party), so I’m speaking from experience.
Anyway, to make life just a little bit easier for the mom or parent looking to throw an epic-themed party this year, I pulled together some of my favorite three-year-old birthday party ideas for girls! I hope you find one that your little one will love or that inspires you to create something else!
Pssst… if you’re looking for gifts to give your little one for her third birthday, click here for a few suggestions!
BTW, don’t stress yourself out over a “perfect” birthday party! Your little one is going to love it anyway. Schedule yourself a day of self-care afterward to recover from all that planning and prep!

#1. Three-Rex
A three-rex party is a favorite of mine (and my sister as she threw a three-rex for her toddler boy), and I’ve always wanted to throw one for a little. Sadly, mine had other interests at the time, so I went with it instead (mostly princesses).
Here’s some inspiration and ideas for a three-rex party for girls:

#2. Tea for Three
I haven’t done a tea party in a minute, but this is very reminiscent of my daughter’s Onederland-themed first birthday party. Tea parties hold a lot of memories for me as my great-grandmother collected teapots (over 300 of them at the peak of her collection).

#3. Three-Esta
Now, I haven’t thrown a three-esta, but my baby shower was llama and fiesta-themed. I love this one because it’s more neutral than some of the others but offers cute decor!

#4. Young, Wild, & Three
I’m very tempted to throw a wild three party for my youngest as she also had a wild one birthday party (and it very much suited her personality).

#5. Three-Haw
I’ve never personally thrown a three-haw birthday party, but a friend has, and it was so friggin adorable. There’s so much opportunity to mix in things they love, too.

#6. Llama Llama Three-Year-Old Drama
Maybe it’s because we used to have a local coffee shop called “The Lazy Llama” but I loveeee llama stuff—which is why it of course made the list.

#7. Three is So Sweet
I have a soft spot for sweets-themed parties, and I think it’s because it’s so easy to find decorations, games, desserts, and ideas! I even have an entire list of two sweet birthday cakes you can use for inspiration.

#8. In My Three-Year-Old Era
I’m not really a Taylor Swift fan, but I can recognize the craze and demand for her stuff (and from a marketing pov, she’s a great marketer).
Here are a few ideas for a Taylor Swift “eras” birthday party:

#9. A Wicked Three
I have yet to see the new Wicked movie with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, but Wicked was the first musical I’ve seen live (and one I saw on my first trip to New York). I also grew up with a sister who was obsessed with the Wizard of Oz, and somehow, my current three-year-old received a Glinda the Good Witch dress for Christmas, so all the signs were pointing to a Wicked-themed party on the list.
So, here’s a few ideas for a Wicked Three birthday party:
