Baked Feta French Bread Bites

Recipes and Homemaking

This is my latest obsession (mainly because it makes use of all the bread I bake), but it’s yummy, filling, and I don’t think it’s that bad for you, either…. it’s baked feta French bread bites!! I make them with slices from the easy French bread I make at home, but store-bought bread works just…

Easy & Delicious French Herb Bread Recipe

Recipes and Homemaking

I’ll be honest, I never expected bread to be the thing I enjoy baking—but it 100% is, and I can’t help it, especially when I realized it’s NOT that hard (and that overproofing, miscalculating, and all that jazz doesn’t actually fudge up your bread as much as they make it out to be). AKA I’m…

I’m not big on gifting candy (for any holiday), and Halloween isn’t any different—plus they’re just gonna get a bunch of candy ON Halloween when we go trunk-or-treating, they don’t need any more from me. But I AM a huge sucker for getting my kid’s holiday-themed things when the seasons roll around, and considering Halloween…

How to Make White Chocolate Ghosts

Recipes and Homemaking

This is probably one of the easiest DIYs you’ll do this Halloween! It’s easy, quick, and doesn’t require much in the way of utensils and materials (which all the more better for you!). These little DIY white chocolate ghosts are what I used to decorate my spooky strawberry smash cake this past year, but can…

Easy 2-Hour French Bread Recipe

Recipes and Homemaking

When I say I’ve been obsessed with making bread lately, I mean it. I’m still making about a loaf a week of my classic lazy-girl sandwich bread in the bread machine, but the second loaf has been supplemented by this super-easy 2-hour French bread recipe. Now it does require a bit more effort than using…

When you’re shopping for your perfect nursery, there’s always something else to grab. But, when it really comes down to it, it’s about what makes the space perfect for you and your little one(s), not necessarily what a list online tells you to buy. And, on that note, I’d like to remind you that it’s…

A Four-Year-Old Pink Cowgirl Birthday Party

Celebrations

One of my favorite things throughout the year (and my little’s fave, too) is when I throw a themed birthday party!! They get to pick the theme and I do the best I can to set the mood/vibe and make their birthday memorable. My little girl’s birthday was the first to get the themed set-up…

9 Three-Year-Old Birthday Party Ideas for Girls

Celebrations

Each year it almost gets harder to find the perfect birthday party theme—and the three-year-old birthday party is no exception! I’m currently planning for my three-year-old’s fourth birthday party (and my one-year-old’s second birthday party), so I’m speaking from experience. Anyway, to make life just a little bit easier for the mom or parent looking…

Easy Valentine’s Day Gift Basket for Kids

Crafts and Activites

One of the things I love to do is create something special for my littles for the holidays. While I don’t go as all-out as some mamas, I get a little extra in their gifts (but you probably do, too, if you’re here), and that’s okay. In the past years, I’ve done cute DIY baskets…

Cute DIY Hot Cocoa Christmas Charcuterie

Home and Lifestyle

I finished my more traditional Christmas charcuterie—but, I didn’t want it to end there. I had more ideas, more things to create, more Christmas goodies to display…which is why I created this cute hot cocoa Christmas charcuterie, too. Okay, maybe I didn’t do it all by myself, I had the help of a close friend…

Hey, I’m Mckayla

Mom of three littles all under 10, work-from-home entrepreneur, bread baker, and accidental gardener. I started Everyday She Moms because I wanted to create a judgment-free space where moms like us could find real advice, relatable stories, and an honest laugh when we need it most. This isn’t a Pinterest-perfect corner of the internet — it’s a place built on the belief that good enough really is enough, and that we’re all figuring this out as we go.
Motherhood has humbled me in the best and hardest ways. I’ve navigated postpartum depression, faced preeclampsia with my babies, and spent plenty of days wondering how to hold onto myself in the middle of the beautiful chaos of raising kids. I know what it feels like to be stretched thin, overwhelmed, and unsure — and I also know how much it helps to have someone in your corner who just gets it.
For the past 8 years, I’ve been building my own marketing business, The Comma Mama Co., while raising my crew from the comfort (and chaos) of home. Between growing our own garden, baking sourdough, and running a business during nap time, I’ve learned that moms don’t need to do everything — we just need to find what works for our family and lean into it unapologetically. I firmly believe every mom’s journey is unique, and what works wonders for one might not work at all for another — and that’s perfectly okay.
That’s why I’m here. I want this space to be real, supportive, and full of laughter — a place where you can find honest advice, practical tips, and the reassurance that you’re not alone in this wild, wonderful ride. Consider me your new mom BFF
