A Four-Year-Old Pink Cowgirl Birthday Party

One of my favorite things throughout the year (and my little’s fave, too) is when I throw a themed birthday party!! They get to pick the theme and I do the best I can to set the mood/vibe and make their birthday memorable.

My little girl’s birthday was the first to get the themed set-up (see the Wonderland themed first birthday that started it all, here). And she’s the same one who requested the pink cowgirl party (and what was supposed to be yellow, but yellow cowgirl was a hard theme to find last minute).

Anyways, let’s get into all the things!

The Pink Cowgirl Theme (and How I Made it Cute Without Doing EVERYTHING)

So I’d love to sit here and say that I’m the kind of mom who did everything times 100—but that would be a flat out lie. Sometimes I’m able to go all-out on the birthday parties, but other times not so much. It depends on the budget, time, and what the littles want!

This year, my great-grandmother (their Grammy) passed away two weeks before her party and as a close knit family, it made things a bit chaotic and emotional. Add to that her original party date landed on Memorial Day weekend (poor planning on me RIP)… so that had to switch.

So rather than doing everything, I put all my effort into the food backdrop and set-up (something I also did for my youngest’s chicken-themed party only two months ago).

Here’s how it turned out:

Simple, cute, and my girlie loved it!! Plus, everything was snagged via Amazon (except her outfit, that was handmade by my sister at MK Bowtique).

My favorite part was the HOWDY tapestry, we’ll hang that up in the girl’s room here soon! LOVE a good reusable piece of decor.

As for the food, it was her pick! She asked for her dad to make bacon Mac’ n cheese, and for me to grab her some strawberries and blueberries—the chicken nuggets were a Gigi pick BUT ended up being the perfect snack as the kid’s played on the water slide and wanted to eat on the go.

Here’s all the decorations I found:

  • Pink, Disco, and Cowprint Plates
  • Cowprint Tablecloth (idk about the price now, but it was 50% off when I got it)
  • Cowgirl Balloon Set
  • Howdy Howdy Howdy Tapestry

Honestly, it was pretty simple and to the point (and so much easier to set-up than usual).

The Desserts That Were Absolutely Delicious

The dessert set-up may be one of my favorite things to put together for these birthday parties—something about it all coming together just makes it a perfect moment.

For her desserts, we ordered mini iced sugar cookies from a local home bakery, Oh Goodness Bake, grabbed some cupcakes from Sam’s (I found cute toppers on Amazon), and last but not least, these amazing little strawberry-lemonade cake pops—also from Sam’s.

She was a huge fan of the desserts (so also big mom win) and they fit in perfectly with the theme. Here’s them on the full backdrop:

Overall, I spent maybe $45 on desserts?? Honestly not the worst! I’ve spent more and I’ve spent less, but the cake pops were worth it!

Just a Little Party Recap

This was the cutest party ever (according to my daughter) and I’m just happy she had a great time. I’m excited to see what theme she’ll pick next year and how we can pull it all together!
