FULL REVIEW: Wonderfold W4 Elite Quad Stroller Wagon (4-Seater)
You might have seen the latest craze in stroller wagons: the Wonderfold Stroller Wagon. With only one main competitor, Wonderfold holds a strong place in the hearts (and dreams) of many moms with multiple children.
With dedicated Facebook groups, an ambassador program, and multiple stroller wagon options to choose from, Wonderfold has become a popular topic. This all came into mind when I purchased my very own Wonderfold W4 Elite Quad Stroller Wagon, one of their more luxurious 4-seater stroller wagons retailing for $699 on their website – but still not the most expensive.
Spending nearly $700 on a stroller was not something I wanted to hop on right away and after some research, I did find quite a few deals that allow you to have one of their wagons at a MUCH more affordable price. I purchased my own online from Baby’s on Broadway, a certified Wonderfold retailer in Little Falls, MN for 20% off bringing my total to around $550.
Now to what you’re probably most curious about, was my $700 Wonderfold W4 Elite Quad Stroller Wagon worth it? Here’s what I think:

Was My Wonderfold W4 Elite Quad Stroller Wagon Worth it?
Besides wanting to cry over the money spent (I could afford it, but big purchases are hard), I’ll say it definitely made it easier considering it my personal Mother’s Day gift, I’m 90% satisfied with my Wonderfold wagon.
I love the space, I love the ability to use or remove the seats, and I love that my son and daughter are actually contained rather than constrained.
My son (3) prefers to ride in the wagon only when he’s tired or we’re moving at a faster pace. My daughter (1) is able to comfortably sit and snack or we can remove a set of seats and she’ll stand in the bottom while riding – which she loves.
Wonderfold offers MANY included features with their W4 Elite Quad Edition such as an adjustable handlebar, plenty of storage, outside wheels, and an awning.
What Wonderfold doesn’t include is cup holders, full awnings, and a few other misc. things that you can buy separately – for a price. Sadly, Wonderfold accessories are only a little bit more affordable and the most desirable ones are typically out of stock. If Wonderfold was a restaurant they would get 5 stars – and three $$$.
How Hard Was it to Set Up and Put Together My Wagon?
Not very hard at all. Honestly, it would have been MUCH quicker if I didn’t have many little hands trying to help – but it was fun nonetheless. Wonderfold makes it VERY easy. Most of the wagon comes pre-assembled and you only have to add on a few parts such as:
- The Handle
- Storage Basket
- Awning
- Wheels & Breaks
But, that’s pretty much it. Otherwise, you just pull it right out of the box. What I didn’t expect was the weight of the stroller. Sure, I read all the details online, but that didn’t prepare me for the sheer massiveness of the stroller itself.
After lifting the box into the back of my car and across my lawn, I was done for the day. It does get easy once it’s assembled and out of the box, but DANG it was heavy.

What Options or Price Range Does Wonderfold Offer?
lLuckily, if you’re not a fan of spending $700 or even $550 on a stroller wagon, but still want a Wonderfold stroller wagon, they have plenty of options. They have two series: The X Series & The W Series. Prices range from $369 for a two-seater all the way to $899 for a top of the line four-seater.
Right now, Wonderfold offers a few different wagon colors such as sunset orange, grey, black camouflage, navy blue, etc. – Wonderfold has even announced and shown their new four-seater model collaboration with Volkswagen that’s rumored to cost around $1,499…
Cute, VERY extra, but not my style. Nor is it in my price range. This VW Wonderfold Wagon was announced May 10th, 2022 and is now available for purchase on their website and on other platforms. But, if you love it and it’s in your budget, and it’s available. GO FOR IT. You do you mama.
I partially wish I would have purchased a two-seater, but my four-seater has already come in handy a few times so I’m living with #noregrets.
Can You Clean Your Wonderfold Wagon?
Yes, you can! Most of the wagon’s pieces come off – as in the fabric covers remove. On the parts that don’t, soap and water does well to remove any liquid stains and spots. I have a bissell couch cleaner/furniture cleaner that I use on the seats and floorboard.
I simply bring them inside, clean them up, let them dry overnight, and then replace them on the wagon where they’re supposed to be.
How Does the Wonderfold Stroller Wagon Do on Different Terrains & Places?
A boujee wagon like mine made me worried that I wouldn’t be able to use it unless I’m riding the sidewalks at a very nice park. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case. While I can’t speak for the other stroller wagon models they offer, their W4 Elite Quad Stroller Wagon came with all-terrain wheels which got put to use pretty much immediately after opening:
On Sand:
It did okay. Overall, I learned that pulling it through loose and deep sand was much easier than pushing it. It wasn’t easy, but it also wasn’t unbearably hard. I don’t think I’ll be trekking through the desert anytime soon with my wagon, but I’ll pull it to our hang-out spot on the beach.
At the Zoo:
Our zoo has a few rough patches, bumps, puddles, hills – you name it, it’s probably there. Our Wonderfold W4 Elite Quad Stroller Wagon took it all in stride. My toddler had no issues climbing in and my one-year-old loved the ride in the shade. Steering took a minute to get used to in a crowded area, but it was an easy trip. The only downside is that I occasionally had a wheel slip off the path – I’m blaming that on my shoddy driving and not the actual wagon.
On Grass and Dirt:
My wagon’s first voyage was through grass and dirt. It performed perfectly! I couldn’t feel the resistance at all. Right before dragging my toddler, his cousin (2), and my daughter (around 100 lbs altogether) in my Wonderfold, I took them in our old pull radio flyer. It was so much easier in the Wonderfold, it was INSANE – and I even had an extra kid!
At the Aquarium:
Regular indoor adventures? 10/10. Our wagon was perfect!! It rode well, there was plenty of room so we didn’t feel like we were in others’ way, my daughter was able to use it as a rolling pack ‘n play while my son could climb in and out as he wanted to.
I thought elevators were going to be a problem, but it took two tries to learn how to steer/maneuver the wagon to figure out how to do it properly. With the wagon, we also fit my husband, his dad, myself, and his sister in the elevator at once.
What Do Other Moms Think About Wonderfold Stroller Wagons?
I might be biased – so I asked two other moms THEIR opinion about their wagons. While one mom has had hers for a hot minute, the other just got theirs about a week ago. And, to make sure we weren’t just singing praises – I asked them for a pro and a con.
Mama of Three Boys Under 5, Cheyanne:
Mama of three boys under 5, Cheyanne is probably the mama behind me getting my own Wonderfold W4 Stroller Wagon. Cheyanne has the W4 Luxe Quad Stroller Wagon in Charcoal Grey with a White Frame. Her pros were:
- Lots of storage
- High weight limit (99 lbs per bench, 300lbs for the wagon)
- Option to both push and pull
- All-terrain wheels
- Plenty of accessories to choose from
- The BRAKE
- Adjustable handlebar
Still, she had a few things to mention that weren’t so great about her wagon:
- Heavy for some
- Takes up lots of space
- Might not fit in your car
- Hard to take apart and clean
You can see more about Cheyanne on her TikTok! She’s an awesome mom and is definitely a Wonderfold pro.
Mama of Two, Baby & Toddler, Victoria:
Mama of two littles – one precious baby boy (4 months) and a toddler girl (3) – Victoria is the owner of the boutique Forever My Girl Co. where she makes tees, sweaters, and more. She thought about getting a Wonderfold only a little bit after I place the order for my own. Hers was delivered not too long ago, so I thought her few would be pretty fresh with the frustrations of a new wagon owner.
She owns the W2 Luxe Double Wagon Stroller and here are a few of the things she loves:
- Looks nice
- Super convenient for the kiddos
- Wheels are awesome
- Love the storage
Some things that she doesn’t like about her wagon:
- THE PRICE.
- It’s heavy
Since Victoria runs her shop full-time (outside of being a mama of course), joining her Facebook group is one of the best ways to learn more about her! Mention Mckayla when joining – I’ll get bragging rights 😉
The Final Thoughts on Our Wonderfold W4 Elite Quad Stroller Wagon
Overall, I’m happy with our Wonderfold and would recommend it in a heartbeat. My husband (6’1″) appreciates that the handle adjusts for him to push comfortably while I appreciate that I can adjust it back down easily (5’8″).
The biggest downside of the Wonderfold is the price. In fact, one of the Wonderfold Wagons Collection is one of the most expensive stroller wagons around. No wagon is worth going into debt. There are a few more affordable options on Amazon that are not raised like the Wonderfold, but offer the four seats if you have a big family. The benefit of the Wonderfold is comfort for you and your littles, durability, and adaptability.
