Ep. 02 : Mother’s Day, Mayhem, & Midnight Coffee

Uncategorized

This past weekend was Mother’s Day and lets just say it was a very relaxing, very lazy day – and I loved every second of it. Episode 2 of the Everyday She Moms Podcast focused on recapping our Mother’s Day traditions and re-evaluating what we consider self-care, along with why I drink coffee at 10pm.

From left to right: Mckayla (Me), My Grandma, My Mom, & My Sister

With a wild toddler learning how to use his words, we’ve been on constant adventures of when it’s appropriate to share your opinion, and when it’s not. Our top words right now are “oh no” “let’s go” “Choo Choo” and “ew” which you’ll hear about in the episode.

Here are a few things mentioned in Episode 02 of the Everyday She Moms Podcast:

  • Mother’s Day Traditions, How to Prioritize Yourself on Mother’s Day
  • Difference between self-care and hygiene
  • Moments with toddlers that make you *cringe*
  • Why I stay up late when I know I should sleep

Hey, I’m Mckayla

Mom of three littles all under 10, work-from-home entrepreneur, bread baker, and accidental gardener. I started Everyday She Moms because I wanted to create a judgment-free space where moms like us could find real advice, relatable stories, and an honest laugh when we need it most.

This isn’t a Pinterest-perfect corner of the internet — it’s a place built on the belief that good enough really is enough, and that we’re all figuring this out as we go.
